The owner also has his own product. Since he is at the very top of the management hierarchy, he is responsible for the product of the entire area that he controls. This fully reflects the organizing scheme of the company .
The product of the head of the sales department is the sales of the entire department, the revenue received by all sellers. And the owner’s product can be formulated as follows: a successful, developing company with a stable financial position.

Successful - means realizing a certain mission; developing - that is, growing. By the way, sometimes I come across a rather strange point of view, they say, there are some reasonable boundaries for each business, which you should not go beyond for some reason. Yes, of course, if you have a restaurant, sooner or later, developing it, you will almost reach the ceiling, and the restrictions associated with its location will not allow it to be expanded. But there is always the opportunity to open another restaurant. The only truly objective restriction may arise when, in the implementation of its mission, the company becomes a monopolist. Then, of course, the mission is worth reconsidering, and this is also one of the functions of the owner.
Regarding the product, there is an interesting idea that sounds like this: if a person cannot name his product, then he is not able to receive it.
I decided to check it and in conversations with my subordinate managers asked questions to find out what they consider to be the product of their position. The results shocked me. The most productive really could quite clearly call him, and the most stupid called absolutely wild things. The production manager believed that his product was the provision of production (rather than manufactured products). Another even said that his product is the help that the manager gives him (that is, my help to him is his product!).
